Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hoden Mumps (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yusuf Akbar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akbar has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Yusuf Akbar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hoden Mumps!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yusuf Akbar!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mumps shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Akbar as he jumps to the side.
Akbar looks gassed!
Mumps throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Mumps doesn't manage to clinch there - Akbar circles away.
Akbar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mumps tries to clinch but Akbar moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Mumps or perhaps it was just good defense by Akbar which made him look bad.
Mumps fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mumps looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Akbar is fending him off so far but Mumps persists. Nope, Akbar circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hoden Mumps. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Akbar wants to clinch.
Mumps fails with a takedown attempt.
Yusuf Akbar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Akbar closes the distance but Mumps moves to the side
and Mumps counters with a good, hard body kick but Akbar shrugs it off.
A choreographed right hand from Akbar misses the target.
Mumps will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Akbar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mumps throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Akbar's waist but Akbar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mumps off to one side.
Mumps fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mumps shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Akbar pinned against the cage. Akbar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mumps shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice takedown defense from Akbar. No joy for Mumps on that attempt.
Mumps instigates a clinch.
Mumps drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Akbar has picked Mumps up - he's going for a ride! Akbar dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Mumps looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Mumps blocking the ground and pound attempt from Akbar.
Mumps gets full guard.
Mumps utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Akbar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mumps. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mumps is looking to stand up but Akbar isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Akbar throwing strikes but missing.
Akbar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Akbar has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mumps to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Akbar is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mumps pulls down on the head and he's put Akbar to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Hoden Mumps!
