Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Will Whyte!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whyte lands a slapping body shot.
Ferguson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Whyte defends it nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Whyte, as that shot connected.

Ferguson shoots for a takedown but Whyte saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Ferguson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Ferguson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Whyte rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ferguson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ferguson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Whyte uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ferguson has time to react.
Whyte fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ferguson tries to close the distance and clinch but Whyte swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ferguson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Whyte's waist but Whyte gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferguson off to one side.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Teddy Ferguson.
I think Whyte has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
