Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner lands a with a good body shot.
Turner keeps the fight on the outside.
West is looking to clinch.
West misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
West tries to bum rush Turner with a series of wild strikes but Turner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
West throws a nice looking combination but Turner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
West ducks under a wild hook from Turner.
West shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Turner sprawls well. Turner wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. West gets slowly back to his feet.
West is looking to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

West throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Turner's waist but Turner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing West off to one side.
Turner throws a series of punches but West avoids them all with ease.
Turner tries to move into range but West moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
West takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Turner connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed West momentarily.

and Turner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

West is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Turner pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will West. That's going to take a lot out of him.

West turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and West manages to end up in side control.
West throws a strike aimed at the side of Turner's head but Turner avoids it well.

West wants to stand but Turner has his arm trapped.
Turner takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

West scores with a one two! Turner had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Turner slips a jab and a cross from West.
A telegraphed right hand from Turner misses the target.
Turner connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from West, right into the meat.
Turner walks into a left hand.
West throws a jab when Turner was well out of range.
A left and a right from Turner both land. Nice combination.
West throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
West dives in and grabs Turner's left leg, looking for a takedown. Turner pushes down on West's head and hops out.

West keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
West keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Turner.
Turner takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nice uppercut lands for Turner. That snapped West's head back.
West throws a series of punches but Turner moves out of range.
West keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
West scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

West avoids the body shot from Turner.
West connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Turner is breathing heavily.
West closes the distance and clinches up with Turner, looking for a takedown. West pushes Turner against the cage but Turner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will West. That's going to take a lot out of him.
West avoids the body shot from Turner.
West lands a jab-cross combination.
Both fighters circling a little - West finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

West throws a series of punches but Turner avoids them all with ease.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Turner crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from West - the referee stops the clock and Turner gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says West. Turner manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
West tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Turner has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Turner swats away the attempt to clinch by West.
West shoots in and drives through. Turner sprawls well.

Turner throws an overhand right that lands on West's shoulder, as West tries to avoid the shot.
West misses with a combination
and Turner counters with a left to the body.
West tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Turner takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
West tries to clinch but Turner is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


West tries to close the distance and clinch but Turner swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Will West is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No joy there for West, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

West takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Turner takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Turner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around West's waist but West gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Turner off to one side.

West closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Turner scores with a hook.

West darts in and clinches Turner up against the cage.

West ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. West no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
West not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
West is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Turner is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! West is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! West has escaped and now he's on top!

Turner throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! West escapes and throws Turner's legs to the side, diving into side control!

West controls the position.
Turner tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but West wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
West misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Turner seems a little lost for a moment, as West dominates the positioning.
West scores with punches from side control.
Turner is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
West wants to control but Turner is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

West is trying to get an arm triangle but Turner is defending well.
Turner is not content to let West control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Turner lands a nice looking body shot.
Forrest Turner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

West drives through and clinches with Turner against the cage.
West drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
West prevents Turner from breaking the clinch.

Turner has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
West keeps control of Turner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Turner is looking to break free of the clinch but West has double underhooks.

Turner tries to circle away but West has him pinned against the cage.

West has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Turner clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Turner rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well West has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
