Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cristiano Santino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Full Flavor!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santino is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A head kick misses from Flavor.
Santino is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Flavor's half guard.
Santino missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Flavor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Flavor has his hands clasped together around Santino's back. He's all about the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flavor wants to improve his position but Santino is controlling well.
Flavor moves into full guard.
Flavor is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Flavor is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Still in half guard, Flavor seems content to control.

Santino wants to control but Flavor is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Flavor thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Santino tries to roll over but Flavor keeps him under control.
Flavor is looking for a kimura but Santino is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Flavor to get the leverage.
Flavor wants to free his trapped foot but Santino is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Flavor stands up and beckons Santino to join him on the feet.
Santino is looking to clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Flavor shoots in but Santino avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Flavor looks gassed!
Flavor throws a low kick but it's checked well by Santino.
Santino misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Flavor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Santino lands a two punch combo.
Flavor misses with a straight right.
Santino is looking to clinch but Flavor is avoiding it.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Flavor!
Flavor looks to land a combination but Santino avoids it well.
Flavor throws a series of punches but Santino moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Flavor or perhaps it was just good defense by Santino which made him look bad.
Santino fails with the takedown
and Flavor counters with a series of strikes. Santino will be more careful next time no doubt.

Santino is looking to clinch but Flavor is avoiding it.
Santino shoots in for a double leg but Flavor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Flavor lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Flavor throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Santino pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Flavor fails with a takedown attempt.
Cristiano Santino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Full Flavor.
Santino throws the left hand but Flavor avoids the punch easily.
Flavor misses with a series of wild punches.
Flavor tries for a takedown but Santino sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Santino doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Flavor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Flavor trying to control but Santino is working from the bottom.
Santino is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Flavor is controlling him.
Flavor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Flavor stopping the sweep attempt from Santino.
Flavor drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Flavor jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Flavor trying to control the position from guard on top but Santino is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Full Flavor dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nice uppercut lands for Flavor. That snapped Santino's head back.
Flavor misses with a jab, cross combination.
Flavor shoots in looking for a takedown. Santino tries to sprawl out of it but Flavor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Santino manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A bone on bone clash there as Santino blocks the leg kick.
Flavor throws a hook to the side of Santino's head but Santino sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Flavor shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Flavor throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Cristiano Santino has been cut.
Flavor tries to work over Santino's front leg with a kick but Santino checks it.
Santino tries to clinch
and Flavor counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Santino!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Flavor stands up from mount. Strange move.

Flavor connects with the punch.
Flavor defending well as Santino loads up on a big left hand.
Santino throws out a loose jab but Flavor uses good head movement to avoid it.
Flavor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Santino circles away quickly and effectively.
Flavor looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Santino!
Santino regains half guard.
Flavor has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Flavor jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Santino is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Santino and Flavor has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Flavor tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Flavor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santino keeps working.
Flavor looks up at the clock and then as Santino takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Flavor smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Santino manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Flavor gets back to full guard.
Flavor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Santino is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Flavor had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Santino is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Flavor Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Santino's back instead.

Flavor is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Santino taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Flavor.
