The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St James throws a head kick that misses.
St James drops Young with a right and a left! St James comes rushing in but Young regains his composure and manages to keep St James in guard.


Young is rocked!


It looks like Jerry Young has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
St James wants to stand but Young has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Oh Young is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Young seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young controls St James momentarily but St James frees himself.
St James wants to get up but he can't break Young's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
St James won't allow Young to sweep him here.
St James has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Young is proving hard to escape from.

St James looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

St James lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Horrible takedown by Young or perhaps it was just good defense by St James which made him look bad.

St James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Young paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
