Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phil Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jay Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels walks into a jab.
Stone dives in and grabs Daniels's left leg, looking for a takedown. Daniels pushes down on Stone's head and hops out.
Stone is looking to clinch.
Daniels shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Stone counters with a nice double leg into side control. Daniels won't be happy with that.
Stone throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Daniels struggling a bit here.
Stone wants to control but Daniels is keeping him busy.
Daniels throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Stone laying and praying for a moment but Daniels takes advantage and regains half guard.
Daniels is trying to maintain the position but Stone is very close to passing his half guard.
Well, if Stone is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Daniels slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Daniels seems keen to control Stone's posture.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Daniels is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stone is aware though and is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Daniels tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stone paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stone cracks Daniels with a big right hand but Daniels just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Daniels swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Stone is now in Daniels's guard. A big mistake from Daniels there, giving up the dominant position!
Stone postures up in Daniels's guard and throws a big left but Daniels blocks it.

Daniels is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Stone is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Daniels has managed to free his arm - good work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stone wants to take a breather but Daniels is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Daniels tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Daniels somewhat.

and Daniels holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Stone tries to score a body lock takedown but Daniels shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stone jumps guard but Daniels stands there with Stone around his waist. Stone gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Daniels is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stone can't fight it off and eventually Daniels manages to take the fight to the floor. Stone looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Daniels stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stone swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Daniels thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jay Daniels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Stone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Daniels drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Stone has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Daniels uses from the top position.

Daniels drops back looking for a leg! Stone is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Stone manages to kick Daniels off! Daniels jumps back into Stone's guard.

Daniels is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stone is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stone has escaped and now he's on top!
Daniels wants to hit a switch here but Stone passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Daniels there!

Stone looking to control and managing it successfully.
Daniels tries to hold on but Stone pushes him away.
Daniels is wriggling around trying to escape.
Stone can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Daniels is looking to escape.
Daniels is looking to get to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stone throwing strikes here but Daniels is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Daniels regains half guard.
Stone tries to pass to full mount but Daniels defends it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Stone trying to control from Daniels's half guard. Daniels has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jay Daniels.
I think Daniels has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
