Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roger Givens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Givens kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Givens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dustin Graves!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Graves or perhaps it was just good defense by Givens which made him look bad.
Givens scores with a head kick.


It looks like Dustin Graves has been cut.
Graves shoots in but no luck this time.

Givens changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Graves looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Givens had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Graves is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Givens Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Graves's back instead.
Givens knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Graves on the ground.

Givens stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Graves swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Graves is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Graves tries to pass the half guard into mount. Givens knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

and Givens decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Graves's guard.
Roger Givens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dustin Graves.

Graves is looking to sinch up a triangle. Givens throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Graves's body to avoid the submission. Graves has instead reached around Givens's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Graves arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
