Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Day Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Neilberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Man might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dayman Remix. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Neilberg!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Neilberg does no damage.
Man fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Neilberg lands a nice shot to the body.
Neilberg misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Neilberg turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Neilberg manages to end up in side control.
Man is trying to control Neilberg's posture but Neilberg avoids it.
Man is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Neilberg in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Man tries to bench press Neilberg off him but Neilberg keeps the position.

Neilberg has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Neilberg doesn't manage to clinch there - Man circles away.
Neilberg throws a right and a left that both miss.
Neilberg fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Man shoots in but Neilberg avoids the takedown attempt easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Man wants to clinch up but Neilberg keeps it at a distance.
Mark Neilberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Neilberg tries to bum rush Man with a series of wild strikes but Man uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Man gets caught flat footed, as Neilberg shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Neilberg controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Man wants to hit a switch here but Neilberg passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Man there!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Man is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

It looks like Day Man has been cut.
Neilberg scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Neilberg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Man tries to avoid it but Neilberg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Man to the ground. Man escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Man displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Neilberg.
The fight stays on the outside here - Neilberg looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Neilberg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Man circles away quickly and effectively.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Man misses with a takedown attempt - Neilberg sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Neilberg gets to his feet. Man looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Man wants to stand but Neilberg has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Man throws a strike but Neilberg avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neilberg has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Man off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Neilberg changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Man looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mark Neilberg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Neilberg seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Man can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Neilberg controls the pace.

Neilberg stands and steps away. Man gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Man is trying to drag Neilberg to the mat but Neilberg just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A frustrated look appears on Neilberg's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Neilberg drops down looking for an ankle pick but Man pulls his leg out and moves away.
Day Man has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Neilberg lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mark Neilberg comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Neilberg winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
