PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Moses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moses comes into the arena with White Zombie - more human than human blaring out of the sound system. Marley has chosen Welcome to Jamrock as his entrance music. Damian Marley told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricky Moses!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damian Marley!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley shoots in but no luck this time.
Damian Marley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marley dives in and grabs Moses's left leg, looking for a takedown. Moses pushes down on Marley's head and hops out.
Marley punishes Moses's body with a nice straight punch.
Marley takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Marley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moses swivels and escapes.
Ricky Moses has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Marley.
Marley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Moses displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Marley.
Marley sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Marley looks gassed!
Moses shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Marley fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nice shot lands for Moses.
Moses steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marley.
Moses misses with a jab, cross combination.
Moses drops Marley with a right and a left! Moses comes rushing in but Marley regains his composure and manages to keep Moses in guard.

Marley is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Moses stands and steps away. Marley gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Marley is still on wobbly legs! Can Moses finish him?
Moses connects with a solid leg kick.
Moses throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Marley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Moses, right into the meat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moses throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Marley colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Moses as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Marley is left battered and dazed whilst Moses and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricky Moses!
