The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Rivera misses.
Cheetah swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cheetah tries to clinch but Rivera is having none of it.
Rivera keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rivera circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cheetah fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rivera avoids it really well and circles away.
A punch combination from Rivera misses.
Rivera throws a lazy right hand but Cheetah sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cheetah tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rivera swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cheetah lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rivera circles away quickly and effectively.
Cheetah rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rivera moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cheetah misses with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cheetah throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rivera thuds a left hand into Cheetah's body.
A combination from Cheetah does no damage.
Cheetah swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Rivera counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rivera.
Rivera is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Cheetah wants to sweep here but Rivera controlling him for the moment.

Rivera passes into half guard.
Cheetah trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Rivera manages to pass to mount!
Rivera is landing with some decent strikes but Cheetah is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Rivera lands with some strikes.
Cheetah in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Cheetah is rocked!
Rivera postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cheetah looks a forlorn figure.
Oh Cheetah is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rivera is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cheetah can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rivera lands with some strikes.

Rivera connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Rivera lands a big shot to the head and Cheetah winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
