The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez drives through and clinches with Shalbek against the cage.
Shalbek has a couple of punches blocked by Sanchez.

A looping hook to the body misses from Shalbek. Sanchez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Horrible takedown by Sanchez or perhaps it was just good defense by Shalbek which made him look bad.

Shalbek wants to clinch up but Sanchez keeps it at a distance.

Sanchez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shalbek tries to avoid it but Sanchez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shalbek to the ground. Shalbek escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

It looks like Vladimir Shalbek has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shalbek looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vladimir Shalbek will probably get the nod.

Shalbek scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sanchez misses with an uppercut.
Sanchez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shalbek avoids it really well and circles away.
Sanchez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Shalbek closes the distance and pushes Sanchez back into the cage.
Sanchez tries to pull guard but Shalbek holds him up against the cage and eventually Sanchez drops back down to his feet.
Sanchez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shalbek gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Vladimir Shalbek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Sanchez.

Shalbek throws a right and a left that both miss.

Shalbek throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sanchez on the side of the head.
Sanchez takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Sanchez circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Shalbek. Sanchez falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Shalbek!
