The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgens fails with the takedown.
Borges looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Burgens misses with a hook.

Borges shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Borges showed some decent athleticism there.
Burgens has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Borges is working away from the top position though.
Burgens is staying active underneath Borges, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Burgens misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Burgens is trying to maintain the position but Borges is very close to passing his half guard.
Burgens has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Borges works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Burgens is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Burgens controls Borges momentarily but Borges frees himself.
Borges really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Burgens manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Burgens throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Borges wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Burgens.
Burgens unloads with some shots from mount but Borges bucks and avoids them well.
Borges knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burgens on the ground.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Burgens keeps control of the position easily here as Borges tries to buck him off.
Burgens misses with a punch to the head.

Burgens has got one arm under Borges's chin. This could be trouble... Borges trying to control the other hand but Burgens gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Borges has tapped out! The fight is over!
