Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luis Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toni Vaananen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vaananen clinches with his opponent.

Vaananen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vaananen feints and then cracks Silva's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Silva down.
Vaananen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vaananen lands a really nice looking cross but Silva seems unphased.

It looks like Luis Da Silva has been cut.
Vaananen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vaananen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vaananen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vaananen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Silva jumps guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva wants to sweep here but Vaananen controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

and Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silva.
Silva is trying to drag Vaananen to the mat but Vaananen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Vaananen throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Vaananen, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Vaananen against the cage but Vaananen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vaananen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Silva.

Vaananen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.
Vaananen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.

Silva has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Vaananen should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Silva has tightened it up now! Vaananen should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
