Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daryl Brick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Seph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seph is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wheres My Brother?. Joe Seph has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daryl Brick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Seph!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brick gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Brick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Seph gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Seph trying to control the position from guard on top but Brick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Seph landing some decent shots from guard.

Seph throws a big right hand that misses.

Seph got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brick has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Seph has managed to get both his arms back between Brick's legs - danger averted.
Seph forces his way into half guard.
Brick wants to get back to full guard.
Seph passes into side control, despite Brick's attempt to control the position.
Seph lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Brick down.

Seph looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Brick is trying to get back to full guard.
Brick is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Seph scores with a couple of nice shots.

Seph seems to be working for a kimura but Brick defends the submission attempt.

Brick is not content to let Seph control the position.

Seph wants to control but Brick is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Seph in particular looking to stall.

Seph seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Seph decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Seph shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brick is trying to defend but Seph finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Seph moves in looking to clinch but Brick pushes him off.

Seph drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Brick is trying to control the position but Seph postures up.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Seph lands a couple of elbows.
Seph scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Seph lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brick circles away quickly and effectively.
A clash of legs there as Brick blocks the low kick.

Seph closes the distance and clinches.

Seph lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Seph is nestled in close to Brick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Joe Seph has got the better of the ground game so far.
Seph lands with a punch from half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Brick is defending against the submission attempts here by Seph.
Brick has a hand on Seph's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Seph takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Seph tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The referee warns Brick that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Brick tries to lock up and control but Seph gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Brick keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Seph showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Brick drops his hands momentarily and Seph takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


It looks like Daryl Brick has been cut.
Seph fails to land with a series of punches.

Seph closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Brick to the mat! Brick manages to get full guard.
Seph controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Seph gets to his feet. Brick looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Seph throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Seph throws a low kick but Brick avoids it.
Seph wants to clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Seph shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brick napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Seph creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Seph trying to control the action but Brick is working from the bottom.
Brick tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Seph wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Seph staying calm.
Seph is chipping away with strikes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brick tries to bench press Seph off him but Seph keeps the position.
Seph advances to full mount.
Brick is looking to get to half guard.

Brick defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Seph.
Brick is in all sorts of trouble here.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Seph cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Brick takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Seph postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brick looks a forlorn figure.
Daryl Brick has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Joe Seph comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Seph has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
