Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between quick star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and small power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
power fails to land with a series of punches.
power throws the kick towards the body but star avoids it.
star checks a low kick from power.
star could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
power lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

star feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

power looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
power wants to stand but star is controlling the position.
star trying to control the position from guard on top but power is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
power trying to keep a closed guard but star is proving a slippery customer.

power scrambles and gets back to his feet.

star avoids the head kick by power.
power displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from star.
power throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

power pushes star away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, star gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
star chips away with some ground and pound.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
star is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
star connects with a couple of short punches.
star controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
power is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst star is controlling him.

star stops power from standing up.
star stands and throws power's legs to the side, diving into side control.

star thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

A close round but small power will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on quick star's cut.
That's time! star's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

power throws a nice head kick!

small power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
power throws a series of punches but star moves out of range.

star shoots in and bounces power off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
power is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
star stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. power swivels though and keeps the full guard.

power manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. star manages to get himself to full guard.

power throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as star works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
star has a closed guard, preventing power from standing up.

power looking to sit in guard and control but star gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
power manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
star manages to regain half guard. Good work.

power tries to stand and escape but star is controlling the position.

star tries to kick power off but power keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
star is pressing down on power's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

power postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
power would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
star is pulling down on power's head to control his posture.

power decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on star, up you get!

power catches star with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

That was a close second round but I would say that quick star will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

A solid leg kick lands there for power.
Horrible takedown by star or perhaps it was just good defense by power which made him look bad.

Nice uppercut lands for power. That snapped star's head back.

star is working to avoid the ground and pound but power connects with a decent elbow.
power grinds an elbow into star's temple.

power decides to stand back up. power steps back and let's star get back to his feet.
star cracks power with an open hand slap.
star shoots in for a takedown but power shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
star takes a head kick and keeps coming.
power has his takedown stuffed

and star holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
power is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
