Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikael Samoth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samoth has chosen Judas Priest - Painkiller as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikael Samoth!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samoth avoids the body shot from Black.
Black tries to clinch but Samoth moves out of range.
Samoth throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Black swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Samoth will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Black looks to land a combination but Samoth avoids it well.
Black is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Black checks a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Black works Samoth's body with a nice hook.
Black tries to clinch up but Samoth circles away and keeps his distance.

Samoth drives through and clinches with Black against the cage.
Samoth has Black pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Black manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Samoth breaks from the clinch.
Samoth avoids a punch combination nicely.

Black drives through with a takedown into guard.

Black drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Samoth dives on top into guard.
Black can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Samoth controls the pace.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Samoth postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Black has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Samoth is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Black.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Samoth fails with the takedown

and Black decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Samoth's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Black is fighting to break Samoth's control of his arms but Samoth is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Samoth has his foot on Black's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Black works his way back into a safe position though.

Black drops back, looking for a kneebar! Samoth looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Samoth looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Samoth!

Black is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Samoth lands an elbow.

Samoth thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Samoth has an Americana. Black didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Samoth is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Samoth hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
