Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bas Mahoney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mahoney has chosen "Electric Head Part I" by White Zombie as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo tries to clinch but Mahoney moves out of range.
Bravo scores with a sloppy right hand. Mahoney should have avoided that one.

It looks like Bas Mahoney has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from Mahoney as Bravo shoots in.

Mahoney clinches.
Mahoney prevents the takedown attempt.
The referee calls for Mahoney to work.

Mahoney breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Mahoney closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bravo really is a fat lump.
Mahoney not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Mahoney looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
It looks like Mahoney is going to stand back up.
Bravo is trying to maintain the position but Mahoney is very close to passing his half guard.
Mahoney seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Bravo is trying to get back to full guard.
Mahoney stalling away here and it's allowed Bravo to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Mahoney counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bravo!

Mahoney looking to control but Bravo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Bravo is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mahoney cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Bravo can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mahoney blocks Bravo's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Mahoney won't let Bravo get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Bravo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bravo is breathing heavily.

Mahoney wants to control the pace but Bravo is squirming around nicely.
Bravo is trying to escape the mount.

Bravo defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mahoney.

Mahoney is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bravo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Mahoney has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bravo's face.

Mahoney is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Mahoney wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bravo keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mahoney stands up from half guard.
Bravo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mahoney sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Mahoney fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bravo sprawls well initially but Mahoney persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mahoney wants to control but Bravo is keeping him busy.
Mahoney prevents Bravo from improving his position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mahoney in particular looking to stall.

Bravo kicks Mahoney off and gets back to his feet.
Bravo cracks Mahoney with an uppercut from hell and Mahoney crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Bravo's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bravo circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Mahoney to the canvas! Mahoney doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Bravo keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
