Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Kleinsasser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and vegas lights (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). lights has chosen fight music as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Melvin Kleinsasser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, vegas lights!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kleinsasser thuds his shin into the meat of lights's side.
Kleinsasser bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
lights throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
lights misses with a straight right.
lights misses with a hook. Kleinsasser ducked under it nicely.
Kleinsasser lands a head kick. lights smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Kleinsasser fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt lights.
Kleinsasser displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as lights throws out the jab.
lights jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kleinsasser scores with a nice body kick.
vegas lights seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
lights is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kleinsasser.
lights connects with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
lights throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
lights throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kleinsasser sees it coming and avoids it easily.
lights looks gassed!
lights misses with a series of wild punches.
Good leg kick by Kleinsasser there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kleinsasser gets a clinch.
Kleinsasser has lights pressed against the ropes, preventing lights from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
lights trying to stall but Kleinsasser improves his position.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kleinsasser takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kleinsasser landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Melvin Kleinsasser.

Kleinsasser gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
lights is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Kleinsasser manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Kleinsasser wants to sweep here but lights controlling him for the moment.
Kleinsasser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in lights's guard.

Kleinsasser pushes down on lights's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kleinsasser will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kleinsasser wants to control but lights is keeping him busy.
Kleinsasser works his way into full mount!
lights tries to hold on but Kleinsasser pushes him away.

Kleinsasser is working for a guillotine from mount but lights frees his head quite easily.
Kleinsasser trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Kleinsasser tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kleinsasser is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, lights has managed to escape the submission attempt.
lights really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kleinsasser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
lights wants to hold on but Kleinsasser pushes him away.

lights is trying to escape the mount.
Kleinsasser pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Kleinsasser looking to control but lights is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
lights is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kleinsasser in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Kleinsasser postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. lights looks a forlorn figure.
Kleinsasser is in the full mount, landing strikes.
lights is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kleinsasser is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. lights is in real trouble.
Kleinsasser has lights flattened out and is raining down punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
lights is in bad spot here.

Kleinsasser is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
lights trying to control the hands but Kleinsasser breaks the grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Melvin Kleinsasser dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


The fighters circle momentarily. lights darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
lights lands with a shot to the body.
Kleinsasser throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
lights chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kleinsasser can pounce on him.
An inside leg kick lands from Kleinsasser.
lights misses with a straight left.
Kleinsasser goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
lights will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kleinsasser dives in and grabs lights's left leg, looking for a takedown. lights pushes down on Kleinsasser's head and hops out.
Kleinsasser scores with a push kick.
Kleinsasser uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from lights.
A jab from lights finds it's way through Kleinsasser's defenses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kleinsasser throws a head kick that misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kleinsasser clinches up with lights and pushes him back against the ropes.
Kleinsasser blocking some punches.

lights breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kleinsasser moves out of range of the strikes.
lights misses with an uppercut.
Kleinsasser cracks the inside of lights's front leg.
Kleinsasser bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kleinsasser, right into the meat.
Kleinsasser slips a jab from lights.
lights is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kleinsasser.
lights throws the left hand but Kleinsasser avoids the punch easily.
Kleinsasser misses with a takedown attempt - lights sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
lights throws a hook to the side of Kleinsasser's head but Kleinsasser sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kleinsasser misses with a few strikes there.
Kleinsasser avoids the body shot from lights.
lights on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Kleinsasser closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. lights did well to prevent Kleinsasser getting side control.

Kleinsasser in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. lights tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kleinsasser!
