Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenpachi Zaraki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Format. Kenpachi Zaraki will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos is looking to clinch.
Zaraki slaps away a takedown attempt from Santos, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Santos gets caught flat footed, as Zaraki shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Santos has his foot on Zaraki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zaraki works his way back into a safe position though.

Zaraki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Zaraki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Santos is looking for a triangle but Zaraki pushes his legs off easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Zaraki gets a takedown into half guard.
Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zaraki on the ground.
Zaraki prevents Santos from standing back up.

Zaraki lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Zaraki is nestled in close to Santos, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Santos is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Zaraki scores with a couple of nice shots.

Zaraki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Santos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Zaraki is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Santos doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Zaraki.
Santos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Zaraki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Zaraki is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Santos sees it coming and defends easily.

Santos is pressing down on Zaraki's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Zaraki wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving.

Santos had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Zaraki is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Santos Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Zaraki's back instead.
Zaraki manages to reverse the position and now he's in Santos's guard. Nice work there by Zaraki.

Santos is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zaraki defends well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Zaraki with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Santos is looking to clinch but Zaraki is avoiding it.

Zaraki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Zaraki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Santos takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
