Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between dan the tank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Slize (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think the tank might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to ready to fight. Slize has chosen Black Eyed Peace-I Got A Feeling as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slize shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

the tank uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Slize has time to react.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slize shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as the tank sprawls well. the tank wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Slize gets slowly back to his feet.

the tank looking for a kimura from the bottom but Slize passes into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Slize creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slize wants to free his trapped foot but the tank is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Slize is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so the tank is just riding it out for now. Slize eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Slize shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says the tank as he avoids it easily.
Slize scores with a head kick.
Slize closes the distance and clinches up with the tank, looking for a takedown. Slize pushes the tank against the cage but the tank circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
dan the tank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimbo Slize.
Slize slips a jab from the tank.
the tank thows a body kick. Slize tries to catch it but that hurt him.
the tank misses with a jab, cross combination.

the tank moves into the clinch.

Slize is fighting off a takedown attempt but the tank is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Slize to the mat. Slize regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

the tank stands and steps away. Slize gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
No luck for Slize with that takedown attempt.
the tank scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Slize doesn't seem bothered though.

Slize has the tank pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. the tank manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Slize jumps guard but the tank stands there with Slize around his waist. Slize gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

dan the tank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Slize goes for a takedown in the clinch but the tank prevents it.

Slize uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by the tank.
Slize moves out of range as the tank strikes.
the tank throws a hook to the side of Slize's head but Slize sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Slize shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches the tank napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
the tank sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Slize content to control rather than advance.

That was a close round but I would say that dan the tank will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Slize takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fighters circle momentarily. the tank darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
the tank avoids the head kick by Slize.
Slize shoots and misses
and the tank counters with a nice uppercut.
A slapping leg kick lands for the tank.
the tank scores with a sloppy right hand. Slize should have avoided that one.
Slize tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A jab from the tank finds it's way through Slize's defenses.

Slize is rocked!
the tank cracks Slize with a right hand to the side of the head.
Slize is still on wobbly legs! Can the tank finish him?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
the tank connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Slize to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by the tank!
