The crowd seem to be enjoying Alvarez's choice of entrance music: Old Time Sake. Somali Pirate is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Alvarez with that takedown attempt.
Alvarez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pirate swivels and escapes.
Alvarez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pirate swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Alvarez fails with the takedown.
Somali Pirate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armando Alvarez.
Alvarez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Pirate drops Alvarez with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Alvarez looks back up at him and smiles so Pirate waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Armando Alvarez has been cut.

Pirate moves into the clinch successfully.
Pirate stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pirate pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Alvarez tries to keep at a distance but Pirate has taken the fight into the clinch.
Alvarez tries to pull guard but Pirate holds him up against the cage and eventually Alvarez drops back down to his feet.
Alvarez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Pirate breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alvarez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Alvarez thows a body shot but no joy.
Alvarez looks gassed!

Pirate gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Pirate lands a shot to the body.

Pirate breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pirate sends Alvarez crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pirate is motioning to the referee to let Alvarez up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Alvarez is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Pirate knocks Alvarez out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
