PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Don Syd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kev Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Syd kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Poisen. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Don Syd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kev Moore!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Syd throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Syd shoots in for a takedown but Moore shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Moore scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
You can see the frustration on Syd's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Syd is trying to improve his position.
Syd takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Moore decides to stand up, so the ref orders Syd to his feet.
Syd tries to clinch up.
Moore throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

and Syd holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Syd will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Moore up against the cage.

Moore has hold of Syd's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Syd manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Moore misses with a takedown attempt - Syd sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Syd misses with a takedown

and Moore counters with a single leg into guard. Syd didn't expect that.
Moore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Syd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Moore wants to control from the top but Syd keeps moving.
Syd is trying to control the position but Moore postures up.
Moore not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
