PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between BIG Daddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bader Cier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cier has chosen Fed Up as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, BIG Daddy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bader Cier!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daddy punishes Cier's body with a nice straight punch.
Daddy fails with a takedown attempt.
Daddy tries to clinch up but Cier circles away and keeps his distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Daddy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cier circles away.
Cier takes a swing at Daddy's ribcage but misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cier throws a wild body kick that Daddy sees coming a mile off.
Daddy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Daddy throws a body kick that misses.
Cier stuffs the takedown attempt from Daddy. Daddy gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BIG Daddy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Cier doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Daddy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cier won't be happy with that.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Daddy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cier keeps working.
Daddy content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

BIG Daddy dominated that round.
That's time! Daddy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Daddy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Cier counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cier.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cier stops a takedown attempt from Daddy.
Cier has Daddy pushed against the ropes.
Daddy wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cier has him pressed against the ropes.

Daddy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cier avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BIG Daddy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice body punch from Daddy.
Daddy is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Cier gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Cier prevents Daddy from breaking the clinch.
Cier wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cier trying to control the position but instead, Daddy has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cier into the ropes.
Daddy gets underhooks to prevent Cier's takedown attempt.
Daddy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cier smiles and moves away.
A head kick misses from Daddy.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Daddy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cier sprawls well. Cier wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daddy gets slowly back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Daddy wants to clinch.
BIG Daddy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Daddy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bader Cier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Daddy throws a one two combo.

Cier is rocked!
Cier blocks a head kick by Daddy.
Cier is still on wobbly legs! Can Daddy finish him?

Daddy is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Cier flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Cier is out cold! Daddy holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
