Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between muhammad ali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silva Mencheres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mencheres shoots in and drives through. ali sprawls well.
ali fails to land with a series of punches.

ali tries to free his leg and advance position but Mencheres is retaining full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
ali trying to control the position from guard on top but Mencheres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Mencheres drives through with a takedown into guard.
ali manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mencheres manages to get himself to full guard.
Mencheres is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

ali stands and steps away. Mencheres gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
ali controls Mencheres momentarily but Mencheres frees himself.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

ali gets to his feet. Mencheres looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from ali is defended easily by Mencheres.

and ali counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mencheres is lucky that one didn't land flush.

ali looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mencheres is fending him off so far but ali persists. Nope, Mencheres circles away and we're back to standing.

Mencheres throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Mencheres bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
ali is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mencheres off and has taken his back!
ali trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
What can Mencheres do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Mencheres decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

ali gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mencheres stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. ali swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mencheres keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of ali's head.
ali throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
muhammad ali overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mencheres forces his way into half guard.
Mencheres scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mencheres postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for ali to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Silva Mencheres will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Mencheres shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in ali's guard.

Mencheres content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because ali has locked up a guillotine! ali's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Mencheres is holding on here and ali must be using up a lot of energy. Mencheres has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! ali gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
