Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alessio Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casper Duelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duelly has chosen Its A Fight as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alessio Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Casper Duelly!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duelly closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Duelly is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Rivera has managed to free his arm - good work.
Rivera landing strikes from the bottom.
Rivera is looking to escape.

Duelly is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rivera is just riding it out for now. Duelly eventually gives up the hold.
Rivera tries to roll over but Duelly keeps him under control.
Rivera won't allow Duelly to pass to mount.

Rivera gets full guard.

Duelly stands and throws Rivera's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Duelly tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Duelly goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rivera has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Duelly but great work by Rivera.

Rivera is breathing heavily.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Duelly is looking to reverse the position.

Rivera stands up and beckons Duelly to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Rivera. No joy for Duelly on that attempt.
Rivera is looking to clinch.
Duelly shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rivera as he jumps to the side.
Duelly changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rivera tries to avoid it but Duelly manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rivera to the ground. Rivera escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Alessio Rivera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Casper Duelly.

Duelly tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rivera swivels and escapes.
Horrible takedown by Duelly or perhaps it was just good defense by Rivera which made him look bad.
Rivera lands a nice looking kick to the body. Duelly takes a step back to recover.
Duelly shoots in for a double leg but Rivera sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Rivera counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Rivera is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Duelly is looking for a triangle but Rivera pushes his legs off easily.

Duelly shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rivera's guard.

Rivera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Duelly looking to isolate an arm here. Rivera doesn't see it coming and as Duelly extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Duelly!
