The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but ramos avoids it really well and circles away.
Shamrock takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
ramos wants to clinch up but Shamrock keeps it at a distance.
Shamrock misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
ramos slips a straight right by Shamrock.
Shamrock closes the distance and clinches up with ramos, looking for a takedown. Shamrock pushes ramos against the cage but ramos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
marco ramos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Shamrock.
ramos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shamrock moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
ramos defending well as Shamrock loads up on a big left hand.
ramos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice straight punches there by ramos. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of ramos.
ramos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shamrock paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Shamrock takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

ramos has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Shamrock's face.
ramos lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
ramos looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Shamrock covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
