Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Hando!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Meoff!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Meoff darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hando tries to kick Meoff off but Meoff keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hando is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Meoff is looking to stall here but Hando recovers full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meoff wants to control from the top but Hando keeps moving.
Hando wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Meoff trying to control but Hando is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Meoff with a flurry of punches that miss.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A combination from Hando does no damage.
Hando looks to land a combination but Meoff avoids it well.
Hando tries to clinch there but Meoff circles away.
Meoff circles away from the clinch attempt.

Meoff drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Meoff decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hando to his feet.
Meoff blocks a head kick by Hando.
Hando has his takedown stuffed

and Meoff counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Meoff.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Hando breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hando closes the distance looking to clinch

and Meoff counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hando won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on Hando's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Meoff in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Hando wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Meoff works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Hando is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Meoff is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Meoff controlling the position easily from mount.
Meoff fails to advance to Hando's back.
Hando tries to reverse the position but Meoff maintains control.
Hando blocking the ground and pound.
Meoff content just to control the position here.
Meoff lands a nice shot to the head.

Meoff working for a submission but Hando is keeping him at bay.
Meoff fails to advance to Hando's back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hando wants to control but Meoff is having none of it.
Meoff looking to control but Hando is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Hando is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Meoff is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Hando is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Hando flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Meoff anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Hando and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Meoff slips an arm under Hando chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Meoff has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Meoff is squeezing on Hando like an anaconda would it's prey. Hando fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Meoff!
