Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Martial Arts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba Sparks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arts comes to the cage accompanied by Cry Little Sister. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparks tries to score a power double leg takedown but Arts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sparks somewhat.

Arts changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sparks looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Arts is trying to get an arm triangle but Sparks is defending well.
Sparks gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Arts prevents Sparks from improving his position.
Sparks is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Arts is working for a kimura but Sparks is defending it quite comfortably.
Sparks tries to get to full guard but Arts has control of the leg.

Sparks looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Arts uses his free foot to push down on Sparks's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sparks.
Sparks keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Arts is standing up, even though he is in mount.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Arts tries to clinch up but Sparks circles away and keeps his distance.

Arts got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sparks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Arts has managed to get both his arms back between Sparks's legs - danger averted.
Sparks looks gassed!
Sparks looking to hit a scissor sweep but Arts is one step ahead there.

Sparks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Arts gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Arts thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Arts gets to his feet. Sparks looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Sparks blocks a head kick by Arts.
Sparks misses with a takedown

and Arts counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Martial Arts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubba Sparks.
Sparks is trying to get back to full guard.

Arts wants to work for an arm triangle but Sparks is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
