Machida stalks LeDouche and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into LeDouche's face. LeDouche staggers backwards, shaken.
LeDouche throws a lazy right hand but Machida sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
LeDouche misses with a body shot
and Machida counters with a good, hard body kick but LeDouche shrugs it off.

and Machida counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
LeDouche misses with a takedown attempt - Machida sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
LeDouche looks gassed!
LeDouche swings and misses with a hook to the body.
LeDouche misses with a double jab
and Machida counters with a big head kick but LeDouche shrugs it off.
Machida misses with a wild body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Machida gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows LeDouche to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Machida is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are battling for position here. LeDouche manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
LeDouche trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now LeDouche is on top in guard.

LeDouche is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Machida is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Machida has escaped and now he's on top!

LeDouche working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Machida doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but LeDouche is tightening it up a little... Machida has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Machida reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Machida taps out! nice BJJ there by LeDouche!
