The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lassiter misses with a hook.
Sav shoots in for a double leg but Lassiter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lassiter lands a left and a right that send Sav crashing to the mat, dazed. Lassiter thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Joe Sav has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sav shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lassiter as he jumps to the side.
Sav has Lassiter up against the cage in a clinch.
Lassiter is trying to drag Sav to the mat but Sav just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Sav breaks from the clinch.
Lassiter closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Sav out cold! Sav corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Paul Lassiter!
