PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matti Peto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brass Knuckles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knuckles has chosen Fade To Black as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peto drives through with a takedown into guard.
Peto throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Knuckles pushes Peto off and scrambles back to his feet.
Knuckles goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Peto drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Peto misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Knuckles takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Knuckles parries the strikes from Peto easily there. Peto is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Knuckles to escape.
Peto is trying to ground and pound but Knuckles uses the momentary lack of control by Peto to regain half guard.
Peto is looking to stall here but Knuckles recovers full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Peto throws a strike but Knuckles rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Peto on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Peto tries to get out of the position.
Peto looking to hit a scissor sweep but Knuckles is one step ahead there.
Peto thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Knuckles misses with a two punch combination.
Knuckles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Peto will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Knuckles throws a right and a left that both miss.
Knuckles loads up on a big right hand but Peto slips the punch.
Brass Knuckles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Peto is breathing heavily.
Knuckles scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Peto shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Whack! Knuckles lands a heavy head kick that drops Peto. The ref tackles Knuckles to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Peto was done.
