Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jyrki Kapane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Connoly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connoly has chosen Break Stuff - Limp Bizkit as his entrance music. Jyrki Kapane looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connoly lands with a kick to the temple. Kapane shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Kapane has Connoly pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kapane pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Connoly tumbling to the mat - Kapane dives into Connoly's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Connoly throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kapane connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Kapane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Connoly moves away.

Connoly closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Connoly lands in his opponent's guard.
Connoly won't allow Kapane to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kapane has his feet on Connoly's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kapane cracks Connoly with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Connoly has left one of his arms exposed and Kapane doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Connoly screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
