Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarkko Ruutu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Dole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruutu lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ruutu.
Ruutu stuffs the takedown.
Ruutu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dole to the mat! Dole manages to get full guard.
Ruutu tries to free his leg and advance position but Dole is retaining full guard.
Dole looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dole has his foot on Ruutu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ruutu works his way back into a safe position though.

Dole isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ruutu stacks Dole on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ruutu!

Dole tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ruutu presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Dole is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ruutu pulls his head out easily.

Dole is looking to control Ruutu's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dole avoid being mounted?
Ruutu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dole's head.

Ruutu decides to stand and escape the position.
Dole has his takedown stuffed
and Ruutu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ruutu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ruutu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ruutu throws a series of strikes that have Dole backpedaling.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ruutu!
It looks like Peter Dole has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ruutu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dole did well to prevent Ruutu getting side control.
Ruutu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dole on the ground.

Ruutu moves into range and clinches up with Dole.

Dole should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ruutu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Ruutu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jarkko Ruutu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Dole.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ruutu is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dole can't fight it off and eventually Ruutu manages to take the fight to the floor. Dole looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Dole seems to have recovered his senses.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Danga de danga de dang - Ruutu scores with a four punch combination!
Dole feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Dole stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruutu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dole passes Ruutu's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ruutu looks like he's trying to stand up.
Dole is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ruutu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dole.
Dole is breathing heavily.

Ruutu manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Dole is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ruutu.
Ruutu lands a two punch combo.
Ruutu clinches up against the cage.
Ruutu has hold of one of Dole's legs. Dole is fighting the takedown attempt but Ruutu gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Ruutu decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Ruutu pushes Dole back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Dole tries for a takedown but Ruutu circles away easily
and Ruutu counters with a shoot takedown. Dole fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ruutu wanted to stand there but Dole had control of the position.

Dole had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ruutu is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dole Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ruutu's back instead.

Ruutu tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Dole moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Ruutu has worked his arm free - good work by Ruutu!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
You can see the frustration on Ruutu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Dole wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ruutu keeps working.

Peter Dole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruutu lands with a right that hurts Dole. Dole looks to clinch but Ruutu throws a short knee that drops Dole. This one is all over!
