The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fireworks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kulani is fending him off so far but Fireworks persists. Nope, Kulani circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice cross by Kulani.

Kulani shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fireworks napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fireworks tries to bench press Kulani off him but Kulani keeps the position.
Fireworks is trying to buck Kulani off.
Fireworks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kulani on the ground.
Kulani works to advance to full mount. Fireworks defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Kulani get's back to his feet.
Kulani lands a jab-cross combination.
Kulani uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fireworks.
Fireworks walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fireworks misses with a straight right.
Kulani drops Fireworks with a left and a right! Oh, Fireworks is hurt - Kulani dives into side control looking to finish!

Oh Fireworks is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kulani decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Fireworks takes the fight into the clinch.
Fireworks lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Fireworks seems to have got his legs back now.
Fireworks is pressed up against the cage. Kulani has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fireworks down to the mat. Fireworks avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kulani bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kulani stands up and beckons Fireworks to his feet.
Fireworks throws a head kick but Kulani moves out of range.
Fireworks is breathing heavily.
Fireworks with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kulani to score with a decent uppercut.
Kulani throws a series of punches but Fireworks moves out of range.
Kulani just misses with a punch to the body.

and Kulani counters with a shoot takedown. Fireworks fights it but they end up in guard.

Fireworks is working an open guard so Kulani takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kulani scores with the left hand. Fireworks knows he should have avoided that one.

Kulani lands with a hook. Fireworks tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Kulani shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kulani was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kulani throws a right and a left that Fireworks avoids nicely.
Fireworks doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Kulani works the jab nicely.
Fireworks takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kulani moves into range and connects with a jab.
