PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Cabal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Rambo's choice of entrance music: Basic Thugonomics. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabal darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Cabal misses with a series of wild punches.
Rambo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cabal tries to avoid it but Rambo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cabal to the ground. Cabal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rambo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rambo is looking to clinch but Cabal is avoiding it.

Rambo has Cabal up against the ropes in a clinch.
Cabal wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Rambo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rambo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cabal swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cabal misses with a takedown attempt

and Rambo counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Rambo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cabal is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Rambo has hold of one of Cabal's legs. Cabal is fighting the takedown attempt but Rambo gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Cabal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rambo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cabal does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
