PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Poison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Shuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poison comes to the cage accompanied by Kanye West - Amazing. Sid Shuck struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shuck throws a head kick but Poison moves out of range.
Poison tries to clinch but Shuck is having none of it.

Poison bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Poison is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Shuck will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Shuck is pushing Poison's head away, looking to escape. Poison manages to hold on to the position though.

Poison remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
