Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Giroe Leon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takinamu NagaYoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leon has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Takinamu NagaYoshi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takinamu NagaYoshi!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NagaYoshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
NagaYoshi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Leon avoids it really well and circles away.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from NagaYoshi.
Giroe Leon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takinamu NagaYoshi.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left and a right from NagaYoshi both land. Nice combination.
Leon throws a sloppy head kick and NagaYoshi moves out of range easily.

NagaYoshi shoots for a takedown but Leon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

NagaYoshi moves into the clinch.
NagaYoshi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Leon walks away with a smile on his face. NagaYoshi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

NagaYoshi has taken the fight to the clinch.
Leon throws an elbow but it misses.
NagaYoshi tries to break the clinch but Leon is controlling the position.
NagaYoshi wants a takedown.
Leon throws a punch but it's blocked by NagaYoshi.
NagaYoshi avoiding damage.

Leon misses with a knee to the head.
NagaYoshi fails to pull the fight into his guard.

NagaYoshi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Leon uses from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Leon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
NagaYoshi lands with a heel strike from the guard.

Leon drops back, looking for a kneebar! NagaYoshi looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. NagaYoshi looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from NagaYoshi!
NagaYoshi gets to mount! Leon was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
NagaYoshi lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
NagaYoshi lands with some strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Leon is in all sorts of trouble here.
NagaYoshi looking to control but Leon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Leon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

NagaYoshi working over Leon with some ground and pound. Leon looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

NagaYoshi is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
NagaYoshi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Leon manages to get to full guard.

Leon has his feet on NagaYoshi's thighs here. He's pushed NagaYoshi off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! NagaYoshi screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Giroe Leon!
