Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Akayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichichi Fukushita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukushita defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Akayama.
Akayama misses with a double jab.
Akayama tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Fukushita drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fukushita postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Akayama is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fukushita, into his guard.
Fukushita has momentary wrist control but Akayama slips an elbow through the middle.
Akayama looking to pass the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fukushita not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Akayama wants to control from the top but Fukushita keeps moving.
Akayama is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fukushita is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Akayama has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Fukushita has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Akayama should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Fukushita has tightened it up now! Akayama should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
