The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beerdrinkus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nepphur swivels and escapes.
Beerdrinkus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nepphur sprawls well. Nepphur wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Beerdrinkus gets slowly back to his feet.
Beerdrinkus shoots in but Nepphur avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darth Beerdrinkus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Beerdrinkus fails in his attempt to clinch.
Nepphur tries a head kick but it misses.
Nepphur looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Beerdrinkus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nepphur but Nepphur pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Nepphur sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Beerdrinkus prevents Nepphur from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nepphur is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Nepphur tries to roll over but Beerdrinkus keeps him under control.
Nepphur keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Nepphur regains full guard. Nicely done.
Nepphur has Beerdrinkus pulled in close to control his posture.
Nepphur is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Nepphur is taking a breather. Beerdrinkus says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Nepphur postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Beerdrinkus to stand up.

Nepphur chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Nepphur! Beerdrinkus is out on his feet! Nepphur rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Beerdrinkus is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Beerdrinkus is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
