Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Dos Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin has chosen Fight Club as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Griffin throws a head kick that misses.
Griffin throws and low kick but Silva moves out of range easily.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Griffin.
A jab from Silva does it's job there.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Griffin misses with the combination.
Griffin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Griffin persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Griffin lands a nice looking body shot.
Silva looks to land a combination but Griffin avoids it well.

Silva swings for the body but Griffin moves out of range.
Griffin wants to clinch.
Silva lands a nice shot that snaps Griffin's head back.
Griffin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Silva counters with a nice uppercut.
Griffin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Griffin gets slowly back to his feet.
Sam Dos Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Griffin.
Griffin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Silva's head.
Griffin fails to land the takedown.
Griffin walks into a jab.

Silva tries to bum rush Griffin with a series of wild strikes but Griffin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva moves out of range as Griffin strikes.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Silva checks a leg kick.
Nice shot lands for Silva.
Griffin looks gassed!
Griffin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Griffin tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Griffin throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Griffin shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Griffin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.

Griffin closes the distance and clinches.
Griffin blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Daniel Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin misses with a double jab
and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Griffin, pushing him back against the cage.

Griffin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Griffin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
Griffin takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

and Silva counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Griffin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Griffin there as he acknowledges the shot.
Griffin takes one on the button.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silva lands a jab to Griffin's midsection.
Donk. Silva catches Griffin right on the button with a cross.
Silva is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva stalks Griffin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Griffin's face. Griffin staggers backwards, shaken.
Silva lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Silva sizes up Griffin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Silva gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Griffin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Silva looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Griffin tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Silva just stands there and leans against the cage.

Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Griffin with that takedown attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Griffin walks into a left hand.
Silva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Dos Silva dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Silva counters with a big head kick but Griffin shrugs it off.

Griffin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sam Dos Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Silva lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Silva scores with a punch to the head.
Silva drops Griffin with a beautiful combination! Griffin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Silva is looking for the KO!

Griffin is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Whack! Silva lands a heavy head kick that drops Griffin. The ref tackles Silva to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Griffin was done.
