PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fratzen Geballer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris RipponSwaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Fratzen Geballer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris RipponSwaine!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geballer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Geballer shoots in but no luck this time.
Geballer dodges the punch combination from RipponSwaine.

Geballer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
RipponSwaine can't do much from the bottom here.
Who's going to make the next move?
Geballer wants to control but RipponSwaine is keeping him busy.
Geballer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Geballer swings around for an armbar but RipponSwaine sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Geballer's guard.

Geballer looking for subs off his back but RipponSwaine has passed one foot through into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
RipponSwaine uses his free foot to push down on Geballer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Geballer.
Geballer reaches up to try and control the position but RipponSwaine seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Geballer rolls and tries to escape and now RipponSwaine has his back!
RipponSwaine controls the action.
RipponSwaine is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Geballer looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
RipponSwaine is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Geballer tries to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Geballer is working hard here to advance position.
Geballer is breathing heavily.
RipponSwaine biding his time, looking for the opening.
Geballer tries to escape but RipponSwaine has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Geballer is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by RipponSwaine.
RipponSwaine not allowing Geballer to control his hands.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
RipponSwaine controlling well, preventing Geballer from escaping the position.
RipponSwaine controls the action.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Geballer is trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris RipponSwaine dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


RipponSwaine clobbers Geballer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.


It looks like Fratzen Geballer has been cut.
Nice sprawl there from RipponSwaine as Geballer shoots in.
RipponSwaine throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fratzen Geballer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
RipponSwaine jabs at Geballer's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
RipponSwaine throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Geballer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
RipponSwaine lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fratzen Geballer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
RipponSwaine is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Geballer hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Chris RipponSwaine!
