Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Enter The Dragon as his entrance music. Harry Brown has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with John Flare's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Flare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Harry Brown!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown is looking to clinch.
Brown doesn't manage to clinch there - Flare circles away.
Brown stuffs the takedown.
Flare avoids the head kick by Brown.
Brown displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Flare.
Flare scores with a jab to the body.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Flare paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Flare closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brown circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Flare. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Flare shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brown tries to bum rush Flare with a series of wild strikes but Flare uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Flare scores with a nice right hand.
Brown connects with a high kick.
Flare could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Flare shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brown but Brown pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Flare tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brown sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Flare somewhat.
Brown tries to clinch but Flare is having none of it.

Brown tries a head kick but it misses.
Flare blocks a head kick by Brown.
Brown lands with a slapping head kick.
Harry Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flare throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Flare misses with the combination.
Flare fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Flare defending well as Brown loads up on a big left hand.
Flare fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brown on the side of the head.
Flare waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Brown.

Brown drives through and clinches with Flare against the cage.

Brown's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Brown gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Flare to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Flare is breathing heavily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Flare accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flare is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Flare is standing up over Brown. Brown looks to escape but Flare dives into side control.
Brown is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Brown tries to bench press Flare off him but Flare keeps the position.

Flare tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Brown sneaks back into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Brown makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Flare takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Brown is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Brown is looking to clinch.

Brown clinches up with Flare and pushes him back against the cage.
Brown prevents the takedown attempt.
A knee to the head by Brown.
Brown throws a knee to the head but misses.
Flare tries for a takedown. No joy.
Flare prevents a takedown attempt there.

Flare has Brown pushed against the cage.

Flare has clasped his hands together around Brown's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Brown tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brown wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Brown is not content to let Flare control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Flare stands up and we're back to a striking position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that John Flare will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Brown counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Brown lands a left hand that snaps the head of Flare backwards.
Flare can't break the clinch.

Brown's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brown swinging wilding here.
Flare fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brown avoids it really well and circles away.
Flare has his takedown stuffed
and Brown counters with a big head kick but Flare shrugs it off.
Brown tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Flare counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Flare wants to work for an arm triangle but Brown is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Flare stops Brown from getting back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Flare's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Flare's back!
Brown scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Flare turns into Brown and is now in his guard.

Flare with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Flare drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Flare jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Flare is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Flare stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Brown rushes Flare and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Flare changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brown fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Flare throws a shot from downtown. Brown moves away and avoids it.

Brown clinches up against the cage.
Flare is looking to control Brown's arms but Brown gets an underhook and turns him. Now Flare has his back to the cage.
Brown stops a takedown attempt from Flare.

Brown breaks from the clinch.

Brown forces Flare back against the cage and clinches.
Flare has had enough of the clinch but Brown keeps him there for the moment.
Flare has Brown pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Brown manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Brown throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Brown breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Brown lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Flare blocks an uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Brown.
Brown is working for takedown but Flare is calmly controlling the position for now.
Flare drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brown makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Brown escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Flare misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Brown tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Flare counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Brown!
Brown is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Brown keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Flare tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Flare dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Brown tries to clinch but Flare moves out of range.
Flare circles away from the clinch attempt.
Flare avoids the head kick by Brown.
Flare will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Flare in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Brown tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Flare!
