Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael The Count (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Stuart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Count comes to the cage accompanied by Run This Town. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael The Count!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Stuart!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Count misses with the combination.
Stuart throws a body punch but The Count moves out of range.
The Count throws a right and a left that Stuart avoids nicely.
Stuart takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


It looks like Mike Stuart has been cut.
Stuart throws an overhand right that lands on The Count's shoulder, as The Count tries to avoid the shot.
The Count throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The Count wants to clinch.
Stuart scores with a shot to the body.
The Count lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stuart circles away quickly and effectively.

The Count shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The Count is stalling in the full guard.
The Count trying to control the position from guard on top but Stuart is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The Count working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The Count stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stuart swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The Count postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The Count stands up and waves to Stuart to follow him.
Stuart throws a looping overhand right but The Count ducks down to avoid it.
Stuart chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before The Count can pounce on him.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by The Count.

The Count clinches with his opponent.
A left hand lands to the body for Stuart.

Stuart manages to break the clinch.

The Count swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stuart slaps away a takedown attempt from The Count, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The Count fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stuart lands a body shot.
Stuart thows a left - swing and a miss!
The Count misses with a few strikes there.
The Count tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stuart paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Stuart will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Stuart cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

letting Stuart counter with a right hand.
Nice takedown defense from Stuart. No joy for The Count on that attempt.
The Count misses with a double jab.
The Count shoots for a takedown but Stuart saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Stuart counters with a right hand to the body.
Stuart comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Stuart counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The Count drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Michael The Count seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Stuart counters with a stiff right hand.

and The Count decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stuart's guard.

The Count stands and steps away. Stuart gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The Count looks for a takedown but Stuart sprawls well.
Stuart lands a nice hook to The Count's body. The Count takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The Count swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The Count dodges the punch combination from Stuart.
The Count wants to clinch up but Stuart keeps it at a distance.

and Stuart counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The Count shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stuart's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stuart is trying to control the position but The Count postures up.
The Count postures up in Stuart's guard and throws a big left but Stuart blocks it.
The Count has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


The Count tries to clinch up but Stuart circles away and keeps his distance.
The Count shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Stuart sprawls well. Stuart wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Count gets slowly back to his feet.
The Count changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stuart tries to avoid it but The Count manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stuart to the ground. Stuart escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The Count misses with a double jab.
Stuart moves into range and connects with a jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from The Count.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Stuart counters with a three punch combo that has The Count backing up. The Count nods at Stuart to acknowledge the strikes.

The Count changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stuart tries to avoid it but The Count manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stuart to the ground. Stuart escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stuart catches The Count with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Stuart tests The Count's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The Count looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stuart takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Stuart misses with a wild combination.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, The Count cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The Count is going olschool here, as he tries to force Stuart to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Stuart shrugs it off.
The Count lands a big shot there that rocks Stuart but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The referee warns Stuart that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The Count seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stuart for as long as he can get away with.
