PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Random Jobber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and pat emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jobber has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. pat emelianenko will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

emelianenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jobber's guard.
Jobber is breathing heavily.

Jobber could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
emelianenko slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
emelianenko takes a little break here. Jobber wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Jobber might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

I looks like emelianenko might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Jobber knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for emelianenko on the ground.
emelianenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that emelianenko has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
emelianenko's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

emelianenko is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jobber is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jobber flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. emelianenko anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jobber and secures both hooks! This could be bad! emelianenko slips an arm under Jobber chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. emelianenko has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. emelianenko is squeezing on Jobber like an anaconda would it's prey. Jobber fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
