Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Severo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Severo's entrance music is Hallowed Be Thy Name. A fine choice. Jacobs has chosen Come Out Swinging as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Severo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Severo fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Jacobs bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Severo's head.
Jacobs swats away the attempt to clinch by Severo.
Jacobs lands a really nice looking cross but Severo seems unphased.

Severo closes the distance and pushes Jacobs back into the cage.
Severo goes for a takedown attempt but Jacobs pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Severo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Severo throws a shot from downtown. Jacobs moves away and avoids it.
Severo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jacobs swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Severo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jacobs as he jumps to the side.
Severo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jacobs throws a right and a left that Severo avoids nicely.
Severo wants to clinch.
Severo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jacobs sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jacobs scores with a head kick.

Jacobs lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Severo takes one to the side of the head.
Severo throws a series of punches but Jacobs moves out of range.
Severo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Severo tries to clinch but Jacobs moves out of range.
The fighters circle, before Jacobs throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Severo's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Jacobs lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
