Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and O Fadda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter Jones could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to O Fadda's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hunter Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fadda dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Fadda's head and hops out.
Jones tries to clinch but Fadda moves out of range.
Fadda shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Fadda fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hunter Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of O Fadda.
Fadda shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fadda.

Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Fadda rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Fadda!

Fadda drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fadda jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jones looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Fadda passes into side control.
Jones is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Fadda working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Fadda tries for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
Fadda has control of an arm but Jones manages to advance to Fadda's back!

Fadda is hanging on to Jones's back as he tries to escape.
Jones holding both Fadda 's hands and preventing any damage.
Jones is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Jones looking very determined here, making life difficult for Fadda.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jones manages to reverse the position and now he's in Fadda's guard. Nice work there by Jones.
Fadda looking for a sweep. Not yet Fadda, not yet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fadda darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fadda moves nicely into side control.
Fadda tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Jones is looking to regain half guard here but Fadda keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

O Fadda dominated that round.

Fadda shoots and misses
and Jones makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Fadda closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fadda lands in his opponent's guard.

Jones looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fadda has picked Jones up and slammed him! Jones can't keep hold of the triangle and Fadda manages to pass to side control!

Jones tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
I really don't envy Jones right now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fadda doesn't have the hooks in and Jones manages to turn into his guard.

Fadda is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Jones wants to control from the top but Fadda keeps moving.

Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fadda manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Fadda in his guard.

Fadda can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape.

Fadda is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Jones has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Fadda has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Jones taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Fadda doesn't care though - he's delighted!
