The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faber blocks a head kick by Down.

Down gets the takedown into side control.
Faber throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Faber takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Down tries to stand but Faber is controlling his head.
Down working the strikes but Faber uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Faber keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Faber is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Down's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Down's back!

Faber is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Down has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Faber has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Down taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Faber doesn't care though - he's delighted!
