Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyuzo Mifune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Rockwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rockwell shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mifune is trying to defend but Rockwell finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rockwell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mifune doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rockwell.
Rockwell tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mifune knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Mifune is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rockwell pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mifune is looking to control Rockwell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mifune avoid being mounted?

Rockwell goes for an armbar but Mifune turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mifune.

Rockwell had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mifune is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rockwell Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mifune's back instead.

Rockwell is keen to just control but Mifune is a slippery customer.
Rockwell landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Rockwell looks to score with a jab to the body but Mifune is just out of range.

Mifune shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rockwell's guard.

Rockwell doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Mifune counters with a single leg into guard. Rockwell didn't expect that.

Mifune drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mifune jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rockwell tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mifune has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Mifune wants to stand but Rockwell has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Rockwell cracks Mifune with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mifune might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rockwell wants to take Mifune's back but he can't do it this time.
Mifune is wriggling around trying to escape.

Rockwell is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Mifune has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Rockwell looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Mifune is squirming around, avoiding Rockwell's attempts to control the action.
Rockwell throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Rockwell cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Rockwell unloads with some shots from mount but Mifune bucks and avoids them well.

Mifune sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
