PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sub Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wade Willson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Willson's choice of entrance music: Sugar Hill Gang - Apache. Wade Willson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sub Rage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wade Willson!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willson misses with a takedown attempt - Rage sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rage looks to throw the jab but Willson is out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Willson.
Willson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rage sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Willson somewhat.
Sub Rage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wade Willson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rage shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Willson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rage wants to control but Willson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Rage is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Willson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rage knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Willson is nestled in close to Rage, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Rage has hold of Willson's hands but Willson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Rage wants to control but Willson is keeping busy.
Rage might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rage makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rage.
Rage not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Willson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rage swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rage keeping moving, preventing Willson from controlling successfully.

Willson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Rage has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Willson is looking to defend but Rage has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Willson! Rage pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Willson taps out and this one is all over!
