Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greg Horace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Chaingun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greg Horace has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Greg Horace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ed Chaingun!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horace shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chaingun as he avoids it easily.
Chaingun shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Horace counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Chaingun!
Chaingun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Horace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chaingun tries to reverse the position but Horace maintains control.

Horace has control of Chaingun's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Chaingun regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Chaingun is working to get back to half guard.

Horace has hold of Chaingun's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chaingun manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Chaingun is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chaingun holds of for dear life.
Chaingun working to try and regain half guard.

Horace wants to finish this one by submission but Chaingun is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Horace.

Horace looking for a guillotine from mount but Chaingun is having none of it.

Horace looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Horace goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Chaingun turns into him and now he's in Horace's guard.
Horace is breathing heavily.

Chaingun drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chaingun jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Horace wants to stand up but Chaingun is controlling him.

Chaingun wants to control from the top but Horace keeps moving.

Horace is looking for a triangle but Chaingun pushes his legs off easily.

Horace had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chaingun is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Horace Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chaingun's back instead.

Chaingun is trying to shake Horace off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Horace won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.
Ed Chaingun seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chaingun feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Horace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chaingun gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Horace has his foot on Chaingun's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chaingun works his way back into a safe position though.
Chaingun keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Horace's head.
Chaingun content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Chaingun not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Horace looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Horace has his foot on Chaingun's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chaingun works his way back into a safe position though.

Chaingun chips away with some ground and pound.

Horace might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Horace working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chaingun doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chaingun manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Horace is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Horace is trying to escape the position but Chaingun is controlling the position.
Horace takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Horace tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Chaingun content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Horace manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Horace is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chaingun is just riding it out for now. Horace eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ed Chaingun showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Chaingun is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Horace drops back looking for a leg! Chaingun is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chaingun manages to kick Horace off! Horace jumps back into Chaingun's guard.

Horace wants to stand but Chaingun is controlling his posture from full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chaingun holds on and takes a little breather.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Chaingun decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Horace's guard.

Horace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chaingun gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Chaingun slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Horace looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Chaingun is defending well. Horace quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Chaingun has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Horace celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
